On Wednesdays, Joey and I have lunch at Mom and Dad Quinton's house. It is normally a most wonderful hour of fun, food and fellowship however, today when we got there Joey's father was very sick. It ended up that an ambulance had to be called and Dad Q had to be rushed to the emergency room. Please pray for him. Joey's mom just called (8:00 P.M.) and Dad is in emergency surgery. Dad Q is full of infection due to a stone being in his gall bladder. Normally the doctor would just go in through the stomach and push it out, but due to Dad having weight loss surgery, he does not have a stomach, so surgery is required. We hope and pray that he is OK. Dad Q is 71 and not in the best of health.
As you can see I lost my commitment last night with my Bible Blog. It seem that I was too tired and sleepy. I hope Jesus never gets to tired and sleepy to hear my prayers or I would be in a world of hurt. I do hope that the fact that we are human will give us a point on the forgiveness richter scale. In Genesis the 2nd chapter the word says that God rested from all His work on the seventh day because all that he had done was good. He sat aside the seventh day and called it hallowed. I grew up in the day when the scriptures were truly taken as the Gospel. My grandparents studied the Bible and tried to practice it every day of their lives. On Sunday my grandfather would attend the little Nazarene church just up the road where his mom and dad attended. I remember going through the door at my grandfathers house after church and he would be laying on the couch resting. He had put in his week at the factory and it was good. Papa always said any job worth doing is worth doing good. He would have on his standard white shirt, black pants, white socks and black shined shoes, a clip on tie would be folded and laid aside, the radio would be playing some radio preacher, papa was keeping the sabbeth day Holy. It seemed that the sun was brighter, the breeze was cooler and the Sabbeth was alot easier to keep hallowed back then. I miss those days.
